Cairn

Client : The Game Bakers / 01.2026
For this project, we created around thirty cutscenes featuring four characters and two robots, written and storyboarded by Emeric Thoa and Mathieu Bablet from The Game Bakers. Our goal was to bring Aava to life within an environment that is both sublime and unforgiving, through precise work on camera, storytelling, and pacing. The animation covered both realistic, demanding climbing sequences and more intimate moments of dialogue and player choice. A dedicated pipeline was developed specifically for Cairn, allowing us to integrate our staging and cinematic work directly into the game engine.

The project

Cairn is a surviaval climbing game!

In this game, you play Aava, a climber who is attempting to reach the highest summit ever climbed. The gameplay focuses on realistic and demanding climbing mechanics, where every handhold, every movement, and every decision can change the course of the ascent.

Dive into a world of breathtaking landscapes, encounter unexpected characters, and explore this dangerous yet fascinating summit.
